Every room is tastefully furnished and designed for relaxation, with high-quality finishes and thoughtful touches throughout. All our beds are comfortable Hypnos beds with a high quality linen and towels.
The home features a generous open-plan living and dining area, perfect for gathering together. A separate kitchen with electric Aga cooking range offers a traditional yet high-end cooking experience. There is also an electric hob, oven and a microwave as well as a wine chiller, larder fridge and a separate freezer. There is a spacious additional lounge and a convenient downstairs W.C.
A dedicated games room offers entertainment for all ages, making this property ideal for festive family celebrations or extended stays. It is a separate building and it is shared with our sister property Little Canwood House. Each property has its own access to it from their garden. The games room is very well equipped with pool table, table tennis, football table and toys for little ones.
This property is a dog friendly holiday property and we do allow dogs to stay by arrangements. There is a small fee per dog per stay. The garden is fully fenced and secure so you can enjoy watching your furry friend running around the large garden while relaxing and taking the views in.
Located beside Little Canwood House but set within its own private grounds, Sharpnage House enjoys privacy and sweeping countryside views. It’s a superb base for exploring the rural beauty of Herefordshire, with scenic walks and bridle paths just beyond the doorstep.
There is a lovely comfortable garden furniture and a gas BBQ. You can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets from the garden which is beautifully maintained.
Local area offers a bit of everything, from exploring local towns like Ledbury, Ross on Wye and Hereford, canoeing on river Wye as well as visiting well known Weston Cider company in Much Marcle. It is also perfect for cycling and mountain biking.
This property is the perfect self catering holiday property for walkers, large groups or family gathering, plus not far from here are excellent local pubs and restaurants serving delicious food. You can follow the Woolhope Circular walk, the Mordiford circular walk or the Marcle Ridge circular walk.
There is an E.V. charger at the property.
We stayed at Sharpnage House for three nights (June '26) and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The house itself is a luxury, well‑equipped Five‑bed self‑catering property, and it truly delivered on every promise.
From the very first communication with Andrea, everything was seamless. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the whole process, arrival, stay, and departure, felt effortless and welcoming.
The property was spotless throughout, and the generously stocked welcome basket was gratefully received after our journey.
Every room was beautifully presented, and the attention to detail made the house feel both high end and homely.
We made full use of the fantastic amenities: the Games room for competitive evening fun, the BBQ when the sun shone, and the Sonos system throughout the house for music wherever we were.
The secure, gated setting added peace of mind, and the surroundings were nothing short of idyllic. Waking up to horses grazing outside, swallows swooping and bees enjoying the garden made the stay feel wonderfully peaceful and connected to nature.
With Ten of us staying, the house never felt crowded.., just comfortable, spacious, and perfectly suited to a group getaway.
There are also Two excellent country pubs within walking distance and various scenic walks to enjoy.
We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Sharpnage House to anyone looking for a luxurious Herefordshire countryside escape.
Best house in the more than 13 years we visit the UK. 5 perfect bedrooms with each their own bathroom, gamesroom, lots of parking space and EV-charger. Nice facilities, good service and responsiveness in cause of questions/troubles. You're out in nature, with horses, sheep and wildlife all around.
Only drawback: nearest shop is not in walking distance...
Sharpnage House was the perfect self catering venue for our family to celebrate a significant birthday. The house was warm, comfortable, accessible, beautifully decorated and very spacious. Everything we could want was provided, the kitchen was very well equipped with quality utensils and the bed linen was luxurious. Loved the games room too. Thank you for leaving the house in such a beautiful, clean condition, we felt as though everything was brand new. Also many thanks for providing a fabulous welcome basket.
We had some lovely countryside and woodland walks, the paths were suitable for one of us on a mobility scooter.
I would strongly recommend this venue.

Thank you for a super relaxing holiday! Sharpnage House is stunning inside and out!! We all give a round of applause for the most comfortable beds!! The layout of the house is fabulous, plenty space and every area beautifully furnished! The bathrooms all so tastefully decorated. The house and gardens were so clean and tidy! Games room added to our fun as well as the sun beds on the lawn where we relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful weather! We hope to be back the sooner the better!!
