Every room is tastefully furnished and designed for relaxation, with high-quality finishes and thoughtful touches throughout. All our beds are comfortable Hypnos beds with a high quality linen and towels.
The home features a generous open-plan living and dining area, perfect for gathering together. A separate kitchen with electric Aga cooking range offers a traditional yet high-end cooking experience. There is also an electric hob, oven and a microwave as well as a wine chiller, larder fridge and a separate freezer. There is a spacious additional lounge and a convenient downstairs W.C.
A dedicated games room offers entertainment for all ages, making this property ideal for festive family celebrations or extended stays. It is a separate building and it is shared with our sister property Little Canwood House. Each property has its own access to it from their garden. The games room is very well equipped with pool table, table tennis, football table and toys for little ones.
This property is a dog friendly holiday property and we do allow dogs to stay by arrangements. There is a small fee per dog per stay. The garden is fully fenced and secure so you can enjoy watching your furry friend running around the large garden while relaxing and taking the views in.
Located beside Little Canwood House but set within its own private grounds, Sharpnage House enjoys privacy and sweeping countryside views. It’s a superb base for exploring the rural beauty of Herefordshire, with scenic walks and bridle paths just beyond the doorstep.
There is a lovely comfortable garden furniture and a gas BBQ. You can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets from the garden which is beautifully maintained.
Local area offers a bit of everything, from exploring local towns like Ledbury, Ross on Wye and Hereford, canoeing on river Wye as well as visiting well known Weston Cider company in Much Marcle. It is also perfect for cycling and mountain biking.
This property is the perfect self catering holiday property for walkers, large groups or family gathering, plus not far from here are excellent local pubs and restaurants serving delicious food. You can follow the Woolhope Circular walk, the Mordiford circular walk or the Marcle Ridge circular walk.
There is an E.V. charger at the property.
Sharpnage House was the perfect self catering venue for our family to celebrate a significant birthday. The house was warm, comfortable, accessible, beautifully decorated and very spacious. Everything we could want was provided, the kitchen was very well equipped with quality utensils and the bed linen was luxurious. Loved the games room too. Thank you for leaving the house in such a beautiful, clean condition, we felt as though everything was brand new. Also many thanks for providing a fabulous welcome basket.
We had some lovely countryside and woodland walks, the paths were suitable for one of us on a mobility scooter.
I would strongly recommend this venue.

Thank you for a super relaxing holiday! Sharpnage House is stunning inside and out!! We all give a round of applause for the most comfortable beds!! The layout of the house is fabulous, plenty space and every area beautifully furnished! The bathrooms all so tastefully decorated. The house and gardens were so clean and tidy! Games room added to our fun as well as the sun beds on the lawn where we relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful weather! We hope to be back the sooner the better!!
Absolutely fantastic stay! This self-catering holiday cottage was perfect for our entire family — spacious, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. Every room was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and felt like a true home away from home. The kids were in heaven with the dedicated playroom, giving the adults some much-needed peace and quiet! The kitchen was a dream to cook in, easily accommodating meals for all 10 of us. A huge thank you to Andrea, the house manager, who went above and beyond! Truly an unforgettable getaway — we can't wait to return!
We stayed in Sharpnage House in March to celebrate my parents 60th birthdays. 7 adults 4 children and a little Yorkshire Terrier. The house was just amazing. It was so well equipped and everything is thought of. It was sparkling clean and extremely comfortable. We all enjoyed the games room and we were lucky with the weather so made the most of the stunning garden.
We arranged a supermarket delivery to arrive on the Friday so we were set for the weekend. The setting of the house amongst the rolling fields made for a peaceful stay but we did also manage to walk to a pub “The Crown” just over a mile away through the lanes.
Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, my parents had a great time.
